Logan County Arkansas Fairgrounds Events
If you’re planning around the Logan County Fair or trying to find out whether the grounds are open for something else, you’ll need a few plain facts first. The Logan County Fairgrounds sit on Airport Industrial Road on the outskirts of Paris, Arkansas, just off Highway 22. The fair is run by the Logan County Fair Association and its volunteer board. The next fair is listed for August 11–14, 2027.
The rest of this page covers what happens at the grounds, how to enter or sell at the fair, and how to get there. It also covers who to call for the things nobody publishes online.
Overview of Logan County Fairgrounds
Where the grounds are
The fairgrounds are at 122 Airport Industrial Road, Paris, AR 72855, which is the address on the fair’s own materials. Some ticketing and venue listings show 144 Airport Industrial Road for the same place. If your GPS balks at one number, try the other. The corner of Highway 22 and Airport Industrial Road is the landmark that matters.
Paris is the county seat of Logan County’s Northern Judicial District. Booneville, about 30 miles south, is the seat of the Southern District. Logan County is one of the Arkansas counties with two county seats, a split the legislature created in 1901. The county fair belongs to the Paris side, which is why the fair association’s website uses the name North Logan County Fairgrounds.
Who runs it
The Logan County Fair Association and its fair board operate the fairgrounds and the fair. Bryan Floren is the board president as of the 2026 fair. He took over from Wes Howard, who served seven years as president and is still advising the board. The board has said it spent the 2025–26 off-season on a renovated show ring, a new website, and a fully digital fair book.
The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service’s Logan County office handles the 4-H side of the fair. More on that below.
What the fair means locally
The fair’s own description says it puts “emphasis back on families working together” through exhibits. The categories it names are 4-H, FFA, Extension Homemakers clubs, livestock and poultry, arts, crafts, home economics, and field crops. That’s a good summary of the place. Most of the people in the barns during fair week are Logan County kids who have spent months on a calf, a lamb, a hog, or a rabbit. Most of the people buying at the premium auction are local banks, feed stores, cattle outfits, and families.
The fair board has not published acreage or a building count, so this page doesn’t guess at them. If you need exact figures for a rental or a vendor plan, ask the board directly.
Upcoming Events at Logan County Fairgrounds
The fair is the main event
The Logan County Fair is the one date that matters most, and it falls in mid-to-late August. The fair’s official event calendar lists the 2027 fair as Wednesday, August 11 through Saturday, August 14, 2027. Recent fairs ran the same time of year:
- 2018: August 15–18
- 2024: August 20–24
- 2026: the week of August 18–22
Dates shift a little each year, so confirm with the board before you book a hotel.
Other uses of the grounds
The fair association rents the facilities for “small parties to large outdoor events.” It publishes a rental info sheet through its website. The fair’s materials mention other community activity on the grounds beyond fair week, but no standing schedule of gun shows, rodeos, or swap meets is published. If you’re looking for one of those, treat it as unconfirmed until the board’s Facebook page shows it.
How to find the current schedule
Two places carry current information:
- The North Logan County Fairgrounds website. Its Upcoming Events tab is where the 2027 fair date appears, and it also hosts the fair book, livestock rules, vendor application, and rental sheet.
- The Logan County Fair page on Facebook (the page is called LCF.Paris.AR), where the board posts changes, weather notices, and entertainment announcements.
Third-party ticket sites list the fairgrounds as a venue, but they show no events. Don’t rely on them for dates.
Visitors interested in Logan County Arkansas Fairgrounds Events can also explore regional gatherings through Little River County Arkansas Fairgrounds Events. Both counties provide opportunities to discover local heritage, enjoy community activities, and find seasonal celebrations throughout Arkansas.

The County Fair Itself
Name, timing, and format
It’s the Logan County Fair, held at the Paris fairgrounds. It runs for several days in August, with livestock shows, exhibit judging, a fair pageant, a midway, and live music. The 2026 fair carried an “America at 250” theme on its poster, and the board runs a theme drawing like many county fairs do. Check the next fair’s theme when the poster comes out.
Competitions and exhibits
The fair book is divided into the sections you’d expect from an Arkansas River Valley fair:
- Livestock. The livestock rules cover the species shown by 4-H and FFA members, and the fair’s own photos show beef, sheep, goats, hogs, rabbits, and dogs. Entry forms and livestock info sheets are on the fair website.
- Hay Show. A separate division with its own sheet.
- Home Economics. Baking, canning, sewing, and similar classes. The 2026 board noted that several classes were added, revised, or dropped, so read the current class list instead of assuming last year’s rules.
- Golden Harvest. The fair’s division for produce and harvest exhibits.
- Arts and crafts. Judged in the exhibit hall.
- Fair Pageant and Talent Show. The 2026 pageant was held on August 15, at the fairgrounds, a few days ahead of fair week, with a registration deadline of August 1.
At the 2026 fair, a watermelon eating contest was held on Friday evening, with sign-up before 5:45 p.m.
Midway and entertainment
For 2026 the board brought in Johnson Brothers amusements out of El Dorado, Arkansas for the rides and games. That was a change from previous years, so ask whether the same carnival company is booked for 2027. Live music is a fair tradition. The 2026 lineup included Brodie Lovelace and Rocky Don Jones, with Varnell Media LLC also named as an entertainment provider.
Wristband prices, ride counts, and nightly hours are not published in any source the board controls. Look for them on the fair’s Facebook page the week before the fair.
Food
The photos from past fairs show chicken being grilled on large outdoor pits and volunteers serving meals. That fits the pattern of local groups running the food stands, but the board doesn’t publish a vendor list. The premium auction is paired with a meal in many Arkansas counties. Ask the board whether that’s still the format.
Admission and parking
The Logan County Fair Association has not published a gate price, parking fee, season pass, or free-admission policy. Don’t assume any of it. Call the fair board president or check the fair’s Facebook page when the fair approaches.
Facilities and Grounds
What’s confirmed
- Exhibit hall. The fair has described its exhibit hall as air-conditioned. A 2018 vendor listing for the fair pointed out that indoor booth space was air-conditioned, with outdoor space available on request.
- Livestock barns. The fair’s photos show an open metal barn with a dirt floor and pen fencing. Show ring renovations were completed before the 2026 fair.
- Grandstand/arena. The fair uses its grounds for evening music and the pageant. The grandstand size isn’t published.
- Midway. Carnival rides set up on the grounds during fair week.
- Outdoor space for rentals. The fair advertises the grounds for everything from small parties to large outdoor events.
What isn’t published
Camping hookups, ADA parking details, ATM location, first aid station, overflow parking, and stall rental rates are not stated in the fair’s materials. If you rely on any of those, call ahead. The fair’s website carries the livestock rules, so that’s the first place to check stall and pen details.
Vendor and Exhibitor Information
Commercial vendors
The fair posts a 2026 vendor application on its website, and the board says to contact them about becoming a vendor. A 2018 listing priced booth space at $25 for the whole fair, but that’s an old number. Treat the current fee as something the application will tell you.
Entering exhibits
Home economics, arts and crafts, hay, and Golden Harvest each have their own sheet on the fair website. The 2026 fair book was fully digital. QR codes posted around the grounds link to it. If you want a copy of the next fair book, check the website in spring.
Entering livestock
Livestock entries use a separate entry form. Download the current-year form, then read the livestock info sheet for species rules, health requirements, and deadlines. Kids in 4-H register through the Extension office. FFA members register through their chapter advisor.
Fair board contact
The fair board president is Bryan Floren, reachable at 479-200-7969. The fair also has a longtime office line, 479-847-5217, shown on older Paris business listings. The board answers messages on Facebook as well. Email is on the fair website under Get In Touch.
Getting to Logan County Fairgrounds
Driving directions
The fair’s published directions: from Highway 309 north, Highway 109 south, or Highway 22 west, turn east on Highway 22 and drive to Airport Industrial Road on the outskirts of Paris. From the east, take Highway 22 west from Subiaco to Airport Industrial Road. The Subiaco approach is the one most people use if they’re coming from the Dardanelle or Russellville side of the river valley.
From Booneville, the drive north to Paris runs on state highways through the county. Allow about half an hour. From Fort Smith, Highway 22 runs east through Charleston to Paris and takes roughly an hour.
Transit and rideshare
No shuttle or public transit service to the fairgrounds is published. Rideshare coverage in a county this size is thin, so plan on driving.
Where to stay
Paris and Booneville have local lodging. Mount Magazine State Park, in Logan County, has campgrounds and a lodge for anyone who wants to turn fair week into a longer trip.
4-H and FFA at Logan County Fairgrounds
The Extension office
The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture’s Cooperative Extension office runs 4-H in Logan County. The office serves Booneville, Paris, Magazine, Blue Mountain, and the other county towns. The Paris office is in the Logan County Courthouse at 25 West Walnut Street, phone 479-963-2360. A directory listing gives that number, and it was last updated in 2021, so call to confirm. The Extension website also shows a Logan County office.
FFA
The fair names FFA as one of its core participation groups, and its photos show FFA exhibitors mentoring younger members in the barn. The county’s high schools with FFA programs send members to the fair. The fair doesn’t publish a chapter list. Ask the ag teacher at your school.
The premium auction
Logan County holds a Premium Auction for top livestock exhibitors. The fair’s published sponsor list for the 2025 sale included banks, the Logan County Farm Bureau, the Farmers Co-op, cattle companies, a livestock auction, funeral homes, and local families. As in most county premium sales, the money goes back to the young exhibitor. The auction date and bidder registration process aren’t published, so contact the board.
Special Events Beyond the Annual Fair
The fair association’s photos include a golf outing, wrestling in the arena, and a conservation district booth. Those point to community use beyond fair week, but there is no published calendar for gun shows, swap meets, rodeos, or motocross at this fairground. If one is advertised, it’ll show up on the fair’s Facebook page. Treat anything on a third-party event site as unconfirmed.
History of Logan County Fairgrounds
The county behind the fair
Logan County was created in 1871 as Sarber County. The legislature changed the name to Logan County in 1875, with Paris as the county seat. Paris grew around its courthouse square. The Arkansas Central Railroad reached the town in 1897. In 1901 the county was split into two judicial districts, because the county was long and divided by Booneville Mountain. That’s why two county seats exist.
The Logan County Museum in Paris, housed in the old county jail, is the best place for local history. If you want to know how the fair began, that’s where to ask.
The fair
The Logan County Fair Association has not published a founding year, a record attendance, or a cancellation history. The fair’s own materials call the grounds “a living history of Logan County’s dedication to land and legacy,” and its website calls the fairgrounds a gathering place “for decades.” Beyond that, no verified fair history is published here. Ask the museum or longtime fair volunteers.
